After using my style of yoga many times over to heal from illness, surgeries and accidents, I can tell you what works for me, is what works for most of us. Whether you are super loose, super tight, a little dinged up or recovering, we all need to find that elusive balance.
Yoga Fix is an alignment based yoga, with some corrective exercise added in for safety, and to understand that today’s body is not what bodies were like 5,000 years ago, combined with meditation, breathwork (pranayama), self massage and self myofacial release using balls, foam rollers and more traditional toys (“props”) such as blocks, blankets, straps, eye bags and bolsters.
By weaving safe practices into what your body needs today (and all of your classmates as well), strengthening your weaknesses, opening into your tightness are all keys to getting to the happy, blissed out feeling at the end of class.
Classes are available both private and publicly, and in the Fall of 2017 I will be offering my first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training!
